Sunday 8 March- Severn Beach

Me, Achilles (or Donut), Lady Legs and Noodle

IMG_2291A short stroll along the Severn Estuary to blow the cobwebs away. Severn Beach was grey and damp, and even with the eye of faith it’s hard to imagine its brief 1920s heyday as a GWR seaside resort.

IMG_2290Away from Severn Beach, the sun shone, the bridge impressed, the salt marsh was marshy (and probably salty, we didn’t test it) and the mud tracked with thousands of bird footprints. We enjoyed the elegant Severn Lodge Farm. Then it was back to the car and off to the White Hart at Littleton-upon-Severn for a post walk pint, all legs in good order.
